In the story the Frog Prince it is about a princess who drops her golden ball into the pond. The frog who she later finds out is a Prince offers to get it for her if she loved him, let him live with her, let him eat from her plate and sleep upon her bed. The Princess agreed. The frog gave her her ball and she ran off. So the frog came to the princess house and the princess shut the door in his face. Her father, The King then told her she should keep her word to the frog and that she did. When she had done all the Frog asked on the fourth morning when she woke up there was not a frog laying next to her, but a beautiful prince. He then asked him for her hand in marriage and they lived happily ever after.
The Motifs in this story are the three things that the frog asked of the princess, The symbol in this story was the golden ball.
The archetypical characters, and what they are going to be changed to are
- The Frog - a Puppy
- Princess - Urban Latino Popular Teenager [ girl ]
- The King - The Girl`s Father
My Story is going to take place in East Los Angeles, California.
The motifs in my story are gong to be that the puppy asks for food, to be loved and taken care of and to an authentic mexican fiesta, then turns into her soul mate that she can never seem to find. Because she has been in bad relationships.
The Symbol is going to be the favorite ring that her mom gave her at her quinceaƱera, before she died.

  1. The symbolism of three is very important. It appears in many folk tales and fairy tales. Three princesses, three mice, three bears, etc. You should use three in your story as well to keep that symbolic feature. I really like how you are integrating Hispanic culture into your new story and thinking this out.
